Are you anything like me? đ¤
Always moving. Always doing. Always checking the next thing off your list.
And in the middle of all thatâŚ
Do you ever forget how important rest actually is?
This article is for you.
Iâm sharing how I broke free from the pressure to constantly perform and how I started living with real intention and alignment.
Now, I choose when to push and when to pull back.
I perform with intention.
I slow down when something no longer feels right.
Because of that, I get better results.
I move more effectively toward my goals.
I show up as the best version of myself because my energy isnât leaking into things that donât matter.
Stop glorifying âalways being busyâ
itâs everywhere.
The constant doing. The constant moving. The constant producing.
But just because itâs normal doesnât mean itâs healthy.
When you fill every empty moment, thereâs no room for your inner voice to speak.
And that voice? It matters.
Your soul. Your intuition. Your deeper knowing.
It canât communicate if your life is always loud.
Moving with intention means taking the right steps for your path, not someone elseâs.
Not what looks good online.
Not what sounds productive.
Your path. Your rules.
At first, it feels uncomfortable.
Youâre so used to doing that doing nothing feels wrong.
But that discomfort? Itâs a sign youâre growing.
Slowly, what felt unnatural starts to feel safe.
You start reconnecting with yourself.
Hearing yourself again.
Creating from a deeper place.
Start small
Take tiny moments of boredom.
5 minutes one day.
10 minutes the next.
15 minutes after that.
Sit somewhere.
Look out the window.
Do nothing.
No phone.
No scrolling.
No multitasking.
Just be.
Over time, youâll notice subtle shifts inside yourself.
And those small shifts? They grow fast.
Your body heals when you rest đ´
Rest isnât laziness.
Itâs biology.
Your body recovers, rebuilds, and regulates itself but only if you give it space.
Sleep is the most powerful form of rest.
While you sleep, your body:
- Repairs muscle tissue
- Restores energy
- Balances hormones
- Regulates your nervous system
- Supports your immune system
Training hard? The work happens afterward, not during.
Deep sleep rebuilds your muscles, replenishes your energy, and releases growth hormone.
Learning something new?
Your brain needs rest to process, store, and organize information.
Thatâs why what felt impossible yesterday feels easier today.
Rest isnât holding you back.
Rest is progress.
Life is a puzzle đ§Š
Not every season shows visible growth.
Some seasons are quiet.
Some are slow.
Some look like ânothingâ from the outside.
But growth is happening, even when you canât see it.
Rest teaches patience.
Rest teaches trust.
Rest teaches you to stay grounded while life works behind the scenes.
Some seasons are seed seasons
You plant the seed.
You give it time.
You trust the growth is happening, even if you canât see it yet.
Some trees grow fast.
Some grow slow.
Some need more water.
Some need less.
Life works the same way.
Some actions create instant results.
Others build something deeper that blooms later.
My Honduras season đ´
Two years ago, my family and I went to Honduras for four months to build a business.
At first, it felt like all about doing.
Building. Producing. Launching. Creating.
But deep down, I knew I needed to surrender.
I needed to rest into the season instead of forcing it.
That decision changed everything.
I gave myself space to observe.
To listen.
To reconnect with myself.
I learned:
- How I actually love to work
- Who I love to work with
- Where I feel aligned
- What work truly matches my soul mission
Two years of intentional steps led to massive growth.
Every choice was aligned.
Every step mattered.
I stopped wasting energy on what wasnât meant for me.
If this is you:
If youâve been in constant go-modeâŚ
If you measure your worth by how much you get doneâŚ
If rest feels uncomfortable or guiltyâŚ
Then this is your reminder:
You do not need to earn rest.
You need rest to hear yourself again.
To heal.
To regulate.
To rebuild.
To create.
To receive.
To move with intention.
When you stop leaking your energy into everything, you finally have enough for what truly matters.
And thatâs where real alignment begins.
And oftenâŚ
Thatâs where the most beautiful parts of life begin too. â¨
